Next year.

Blog hit update

For those scoring at home, this experimental blog started approximately a year ago. We just finished our first "paperless" sports season. Several trees would like to thank us  for that.
Our total hits as of this morning is 8623.
As one of the persons responsible for administering the sports program I can not tell you how this has simplified and clarified things. The old email contact lists were becoming unmanageable.
Technology can be such a wonderful thing.
Merry Christmas everyone and may the odds be always in your favor. :-)

Medicine Lake, Men's 2013 SAMS LDS volleyball champions

Congratulations to the Medicine Lake Men's volleyball team  the 2013  SAMS  LDS   champions.  This is their  3rd  championship in 4 years!
It was a  great tournament with many really close competitive match's,   the sportsmanship was wonderful. The  final results from the tournament:
1) Medicine Lake
2)   Shore View
3)  Blaine 1
4)  Maple Grove
Medicine Lake showed  great team work, balance, court coverage and guile,  Fun to watch.
Maybe the sportsmanship event of the tournament  was the North St. Paul team which had the SAMS LDS  relic Tommy Janson (Tommy Gun)  graced the floor again with his presence again after a  two year layoff as he recovered  from near death  Cancer. Admittedly he wasn't  as  quick and  agile as he once was but he hustled and even got a spike in.

REMEMBER  the Basketball coach's meeting is  the second  Thursday in January,  Jan 9, at  the Anoka stake Center, 7 P.M. 2014. The games start the following week.
Don't forget to put  a suggestion in the Bishops ear to get coach's  called.

Merry Christmas to all.
