Tournament rules

1). The referees ar always right.

2) tournament overtime.... For the tournament each two minute overtime starts with a jump ball and the alternating possession resets,  one time out per team per overtime period, they do not carry over, the second and etc overtime periods again are two minutes until the is a winner.

3). This is always the rule but just to remind everyone that  for violations and fouls, time outs, technicals etc the ball is taken out at the nearest spot as when the stoppage occurred . It is not like the NBA where the ball advances, we play by high school rules.

4). This is always the rule but since it is new we will go over it,
FREE THROWS   Those in the lane may go into the lane when the ball is released. All others (including the shooter) must wait until the ball hits the rim. If the violation occurs to the shooting team, the free throw is canceled, you do not reshoot it, if the violation is on the defensive team, and the free throw goes in, it counts and you move on, if the shooter misses, he reshoots that shot.

Eligibility:
*    Non-members and Free agent members (players who's ward does  not have a team) must have played at least once this season for your team to play in the tournament.

* Players  from the YM  team may play for the adult team.

* Baptized  Players  from your ward  returning from school or missions, new move ins,  newly Baptized members   may play in the tournament.

*  Baptized members of your ward may play in the tournament even if they did not play during the regular season.
