Thank you all who attended the basketball meeting yesterday
Here are some decisions made and there are some major ones.
Officiating: Refereeing
s.
It was decided that refereeing the young men's games will no longer be assigned to the men's teamsThe responsibility to referee the YM games will be up to the boys teams, either a parent, volunteer, coach can referee or it can be self officiated by the players.
Referees for the men's games:
Assuming the men's games are at 8, 9, and 10
Each team playing at 8:00 provides 2 players to help officiate, one to ref one for the clock/book
This is new ONE team playing at 9 sends a minimum of 2 players to officiate the 8:00 game, The other team playing at 9:00 Provides at least 3 players, two to referee and one or two for the clock/book for the 10:00 game.
Failing to fulfill the referee assignment again counts as a forfeit for the men's team and will be one of your 3 forfeits eliminating your team from the tournament.
With the new arrangement no one need to be there for more than 2 hours.
* Now in actual practice, We do not care who actually referee's and covers the table, if 2 players from the same 8:00 game ref and the other Two from the other team both work the table that is ok, if you can get someone to volunteer to do the book/clock or referee that is ok you can go home but if there is not someone covering your assignment it will count as a forfeit.
There are no new rule changes.
Here are the teams we have for now. Any corrections additions/subtractions contact us.
