The game was a classic, almost opposite to last week's game with TC1. Maple Grove lead by 14 with 4 minutes to go. You could say they let their foot off the gas... bad Idea... Shingle Creek came storming back converting steals and turnovers into baskets until they were at the free throw line trailing by Two with 1.8 seconds to go. They made the both to tie the game. Maple Groves long court inbound pass attempt hit the ceiling, thus Shingle Creek had the ball under their basket with 1.8 seconds to go. however they could not get the desperation shot to go.
In the 2 minute over time Maple Grove lead by 4 with 14 seconds to go. Maple Grove at the line shooting two, knowing that if they make one it is basically over, MG misses both free throws. Quickly bringing the ball down and putting up an NBA three which SC MAKES! now trailing by ONE Maple Grove throws the in bounds pass away! Thus SC has the ball on the side of their basket with 7 seconds to go, needing only a two to win, however smothering defense and Shingle Creek's last second shot was too late. Maple Grove wins in over time 64-63.
Maple Grove victory margin in it's three tournament games were one, four and one points.

Get coach's together for the men's volleyball league the coach's meeting is 11 Sept 2015, at the Anoka stake center 7:00.
We are going to experiment with indoor soccer for the young men, replacing volleyball, the games will be Thursday nights. Spread the word.
