Tournament update

After the first night of The volleyball tournament  Maple Grove and Blaine enter championship Thursday next week undefeated.
     ElmCreek and Shore View  come with one loss each.

    All four teams play at 8:00 at St Paul stake center next Thursday Dec. 7.

 In the young men's futsal championship as expected Andover won, sadly because TC 1did not show up. The players and parents did split up and played a fun lively game.

Remember the first rule of SAMS  Sports it to be flexible.   I just found out that  Paul Zoellenger  is  
Going to be in Utah  thus  NSP  will not  be playing in the tournament,   So we had to rearrange the schedule  on the St Paul Building side of the bracket.,  Blaine  being  the co-top seed along with  Elm Creek will get a first round bye.   The brackets have been changed to reflect the changes

     Welcome to the volleyball tournament
All Match's  at  Two out of three  all  games to 25 win by two or first to 30. Rally scoring.
Rock /paper / scissors  to first serve (winner gets choice serve or side)  do it again for Game 3
Substitutions:  three choices, determined before each game.
       a)   Traditional  one for one  substitution,  two players  trade at  the same serve rotationspot
       b)   Standard  church  rotating  in and out.
       c)  Hybrid,   You  can  keep  one or more players  on the court  the whole time staying in
      their  same service rotation spot  and rotate  in  the remaining serve rotationspots.
(this method  was designed to allow  a  team to have many players participate while keeping
their  team competitive)
   A  team  must have at least half the players on the court be  LDS church members  or siblings  
 to a  Baptized  LDS  church member.

Men's volleyball

     WE  do not have the schedule together yet as we are confirming another team,  I will have it out by Sunday Night
   BUT   good news   We will be adding perhaps three teams to the tournament,  New Brighton/Shoreview,   North St. Paul (who could be very good. Team Zoellenger)   and  working on Anoka
  Plus  Shingle Creek has committments  from Dave  Sandburg and his  Lake Nokomis buddies.
   So this should be really  competitive and very  fun.
